Studies: NGV School; George Bell
School,travel studies Europe 1951;Greece and
Italy,1958; Pakiston, Persia, Turkey, Greece,
1961-62. Her flat, carefully designed, small
scale paintings (mainly of people) emphasise the
silhouette and are usually either playful or
gently satirical. Equally important is her
objective to 'attain the ultimate in
simplicity', through the play of light on black,
white ,brown, grey and other tertiary colours.
Her 1980's and 90's exhibitions have largely
been with Eastgate & Holst Gallery , Melbourne.
Her work was represented in Classical
Modernism.The George Bell Circle NGV 1992
